Total idiot...need advice

I’ll start this with I’m a f&£king idiot Sad.

I’ll get to the point, i sat and watched my husband paint the wall of fireplace (alcoves and fire breast) while sat in the same room (opened planned sittingroom/diner) with a sleeping 4.5 month old. We were in there for 3 hours Confused. Baby slept longer than usual, it then dawned on me that she shouldn’t be in a painted room and I panicked, left the room and woke her up. She was drowsy at first but then bright and alert for 3 hours. She has now gone back to sleep. We haven’t entered the room since and stayed upstairs. Paint is water based. Internet search/nhs website etc is useless for answers. I can’t believe it didn’t cross my mind. I’m so cross and upset with myself. We have an Angel monitor which will detect if she stops breathing and she’s in a crib next to me.

Should I be worried? Should I do anything I haven’t thought of? Please no nasty comments - I already feel terrible.

Water based paint is fine. I looked it up when I was doing some decorating with baby ds around. Don't worry. Your baby will have been drowsy from sleep nothingness else.

Because of smell and chemicals I wouldn't have baby breathing it in too much where possible though...

And I'm assuming your room is was well aired Smile
