Regressing 3 year old

We thought we had cracked toilet training with our 3 yr old DS but all of a sudden he has reverted back to peeing and pooing in his pants. He says he can't use the toilet. We are trying everything but nothing seems to work. He still wears pull ups at night and says he doesn't want to wear nappies anymore but he keeps wetting and soiling himself. HELP!

My ds is 3 and also does this, he will go for weeks being perfectly fine then all of a sudden poo his pants.
When I ask him why he didn't go to the toilet he says 'I don't want to be a big boy Mummy', It seems to happen when he's anxious about something.
Like last week I told him that because his pre-school teachers are on holiday, he's going to spend a morning at holiday club - spent ages explaining how he was going to have loads of fun playing with new friends atc, and he was happy about it. Then 1/2 hour later he'd pooed himself.
Its frustrating but I hope he'll grow out of it.

My DS is 3.5 and took several months to toilet train. Since the nice weather has started he's been having quite a few accidents and it seems to be that he is too busy enjoying the garden and the new games it offers and leaving going to the loo FAR TOO LATE !!! Ho-Humm.... I think that once they have mastered something new they often regress a bit as they have started to concentrate on something else...?

Did I read on another thread that you have a young baby ? Is he maybe wanting to be babied (sp) ?
