6 month old crying and unsettled

Hi everyone. I just wanted some advise/ input please. My little boy is 6 months old, he has always been a good sleeper (waking up once/ twice max for a feed each night) he got his first 2 teeth at 4 months and has just got his second 2 through a few weeks ago. He was changed to lactose free milk due to a post infection intolerance at 3 months and has been weaned back onto normal milk 3 weeks ago. He seems to have handled his teeth coming through well, and he seems to be ok on the milk again from my perspective. However over the last week- 10 days he has been so unsettled for one reason or another. He cries a lot (which he NEVER used to cry at all) he is sleeping a lot, gone from a 45 min nap to sleeping for 2-3 hours on an afternoon. His bedtime hasn't changed however so he is sleeping maybe 2-4:30 then going to sleep again at half 6 waking once for a feed. Is this normal? Could he be having a growth spurt, or are his teeth/ milk change bothering him more than I think? He was such a happy content baby a few weeks ago now he feels like a different baby altogether!

There is a growth spurt at 6 months so it could be that. The milk might be bothering I suppose. Have you introduced solids recently too?

I have started to wean him a few weeks ago once he reached 6 months, it's not quite solids but more blended foods. So his diet is completely changing I guess

You could try giving him only milk for a day or two. They don’t have to have food every day.

The terms solids and Weaning can be a bit confusing. “Introducing solids” just means giving any food that is not baby’s usual milk 🙂
