Ds and I are experiencing a major role reversal

This afternoon I noticed a huge massive spider on my arm despite always resolving not to show my fear in front of ds (2.8) I lost it and was hopping around the room shouting like a mad woman and managing to put the fear of god into ds at the same time!

After we have both calmed down ds says to me "don't worry mummy the spider has gone back to his web now there are no spiders here now mummy just furniture". Later he comes and gives me a big cuddle and says "You are silly to be scared mummy they won't hurt you and I will look after you". ONe very ashamed mum today.

Nogoes your post really made me chuckle, what's that saying about "out of the mouth of babes"!!!

I hate spiders too, so would probably have reacted in exactly the same way, but it just goes to prove that your ds obviously had been listening the last time you told him he needn't worry about spiders.

So a well earned pat on the back for you - think you should be a proud mummy really. Beks

What a lovely little boy you have. My LO asks'you alright mam?' it makes me want to weep.
