Hi can anyone help, My lovely 15m DD has become fastidious about anything out of place or if she wee's when nappy off gets really upset or at times doesn't like hands dirty(although doesn't mind if chocolate!!) Is she developing early ocd or is this just a phase help!

My 21mo is exactly the same. Wipes down her high chair tray if not deemd clean enough, squeals if she finds fluff on her hand, picks up "rubbish" from the floor and throws it in the bin too. Don't know where she got it from as I'm certainly not like that, nor is my DP. Maybe it's just a reaction to our general slobbery. She used to refuse bibs if there was a stain on them, but thankfully that's behind us now. I did put it down to the fact that she's a Cancerian and therefore houseproud (apparently), although I should imagine it's only a phase.

My dd (also 15 months) is the same, if she has any dirt/ bits of food on her hands she holds them out to you until you wipe them, she always wipes the floor with a wipe if she wees on it! She also picks up the smallest bits from the carpet, gives them to me and points to the bin!

Yep I have one like these too - he is 22 months. One of his first words was 'dirty' and he goes round pointing out bits of dirt on the floor etc - it's like living with Kim and Aggie. If he could reach he'd probably run a finger along the top of door frames!

I don't really buy into horoscopes much but Brangelina he is a cancerian too...maybe our kids could get married when they grow up and live in a hideously clean house?!

My dd (now 23 months) has been like this for ages. She takes baby wipes out of the packet and cleans her little chair and bits of furniture with it! Uses the sponge in the bath to wipe down the tiles etc.
I stayed at my parents house for a week with her when dp was away skiing and my Mum kept joking about "what had I done to make her so cleaning obsessed?" think my Mum was surprised as I'm not known for being massively houseproud
She also hates having dirty hands - I hope it is just a phase, in the meantime I just keep telling her "it doesn't matter, we'll wash our hands once we finish playing"

I also think it's just a phase. Ds (23 months now) was just the same and still likes his hands wiped when they're a bit dirty. However, loves nothing more than digging in dirt and scraping the sludge from under my car's mud flaps though. I tended to deal with his wish to have his hands wiped by agreeing they were dirty and saying 'never mind', or giving them a cursory wipe with mine or getting him to wipe them on the grass, i.e. basically giving him the idea that it was okay to be a bit grubby. Gave his hands a good scrub before eating when I remembered though, usually during pudding.
