My 6yo dd has started not wanting to wear winter coats or wooly jumpers because she think they make her "look fat". I find that heartbreaking. I've struggled with my body image my whole life, since I was her age, and I know how destructive it is (my mum had weird issues too and didn't help me get over it). I'm determined to not let her go down that road. Any ideas how to handle it? Thank you.
