What age did your DC self wean from BF?

I am hoping it's going to happen at 18 months ( ish) DS is15 months now. There seems to be a leap at 17 months for a month ( although these don't always mean more feeding for us).

Anyone ? Maybe I chose the wrong section ?

My ds was 2 years 2 months, I weaned him, he was down to one feed in the evening I think he would have continued, but my milk was drying in, and I felt it was time.
I know a few parents who also choose to wean at or around the two year mark. Xx

One of mine stopped wanting to breastfeed at 11.5 months. (The other two I stopped when I decided I didn’t want to bf any more.)

I never managed to wait for them to self wean, dd2 was 25m when I couldn't take it anymore and ds is 21m with no sign of stopping, so unless your pregnant then it's probably unlikely that your dc would self wean at such a young age.

yeah I’m always hopeful ? It’s catch 22 though, less likely to get pregnant if feeding. Seems an extreme way to wean.

Knowing my little one he’d carry on anyway then I’d have two of them at it !

DS self weaned at 3 years!

I had to push him at 3 He still talks of it fondly occasionally at 5!

13 months. I felt rejected Tbf we had started giving her cows milk in a sippy cup and she was enjoying it. We were down to a quick feed before bed and her least favourite boob had already dried up.

First D I weaned at 5 months, Ds 2nd Dd both self weaned at 12 months and baby D self weaned at 18 months - and I miss it! Last baby.

Age 2. But really it was me weaning him (because I'd had enough) and him being not too bothered about it.
