Newborn constipation

Hi all. Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place!

My gorgeous little son is only 13 days old. We have had to choose to formula feed after difficulty establishing breast feeding.

We started him on SMA comfort milk. It sounds really silly, but we didn't realise this was milk for babies with constipation or colic. We just thought the word comfort sounded nice. I know Blush

Anyway, he was pooing a lot, around 8 times a day, maybe more. Mentioned it to the health visitor and she explained about the comfort milk so we switched him over to aptimal normal milk.

Since then (Wednesday) he has been constipated Sad he is straining and crying trying to poo and his poos are very very small and dense (when he managed to do one at all)

Tried the cooled boiled water but no change just yet.

Have we messed up his little digestive system by starting on the comfort milk? And should we move back onto the comfort milk to help his constipation? That's what we want to do but worried that he could be pooing too much on the comfort milk!

Any advice would be massively appreciated, Thanks!!
