2 year old hates going to nursery

My daughter has recently started to cry and scream every time I drop her off at nursery, since the last 2 weeks or so. She has mostly enjoyed it before - she's been there for more than 1 year. Today I had to bring her home as she was so panicked at wouldnt let go off me and just said: go home, go home repeatedly. Whilst I was there this morning an older kid came over and started hitting her in the face, non of the staff noticed or did anything about it even after I made them aware of it. I just wanted to leave and she finally calmed down after we left. It's clear she doesn't feel happy there, and that's why we are taking her to a new nursery.
I've tried to talk to the staff, but they just keep telling me she calms down after we have left.

We have a place in new nursery in 6 weeks, and I don't know what to do in the meantime as I can't take time off work for 6 weeks. I can't leave her there tomorrow if she's like that again. Should I find a childminder inbetween? Is that too confusing for her?

I had this problem, the nursery was useless and denied it was happening, ex had to sign off incident reports most times they picked up child.

Final straw was seeing our friendly child break down in tears and refuse to walk behind the child who was bullying them out the gates.

You can say that it’s not bullying but 4 year old attacking a 2year old every day is bullying.

We took our child straight out, ex had spotted it earlier and was constantly clashing with the nursery over it and they would make comments to me saying that ex was mental.
