Boundaries

My nearly 7 year old seems to be lacking a few boundaries when it comes to personal space.
She can often be found poking people, hanging off their clothes etc with no apparent understanding that people actually find it bloody annoying. She just thinks it's funny but doesn't seem to get that they don't.
I've tried talking to her about it, but she can just get ratty and defensive and we don't get far. Or she'll agree with everything I say and then carry on as before.

Any tips please, before she runs out of friends :(

Time to up the disciplinary maybe? Instead of talking after the fact a short sharp no and removing her from the persons clothes or side or whatever. If you keep doing that enough she hopefully will get the message?

Thanks user She does get told not to at the time. The problem is more that she doesn't seem to see it as a problem, she doesn't recognise annoyance in peoples' body language or doesn't take it seriously .
