My DD is 4 months old and completely fascinated with TV. I swore I would never use it before she was born, but in full on slummy mummy mode, must confess to sticking her in front of it when I need to get some housework done. I console myself with the thought that we spend a lot of other time playing, reading and just hanging out together, so surely half an hour here or there won't do any harm?

Research shows kids shouldn't be exposed to television before 2 years, full stop. I would strongly advise not putting the little one in front of the tv as a source of amusement unless you want to create a real lifelong addicition. Link to research below-
