Toy throwing

My DS, 11 months is constantly throwing all his toys across the room whenever he is "playing" with them. Anyone else had this experience and how can I discourage this? He also throws food and other objects when in his highchair. How do I manage this without constant No's which is no fun for either of us. Any idea Mums?

Buy him a selection of balls and play with them with him. When he starts to throw something else, give him a ball instead or it's a mealtime tell him he can play with balls afterwards.
No idea if it will work, but that's what I'd try.

Yes, we removed toy and gave DS a ball to throw and it worked for us.
We didn't have too much trouble with food throwing at that age.
