6 year old hour long temper tantrums

I dont really know where to start to be honest. I have a 6 year old who I've been back and forth to the doctors with to get help with her behaviour. At first they thought she had ADHD and went through some channels to get her tested for it, then nothing really came of it. Her behaviour has progressively gotten worse and more difficult to control.

As of lately, if things don't go her way she will throw herself on the floor and scream on the top of her lungs. She just screams "Mummy!" and holds her hands out in front of her like a zombie lol. I attempt at putting her in her room but she follows me or my partner (her step-dad) out and continues to scream. This can go on for over an hour, its getting so tiring, I'm running out of techniques to try. I'm also running out of patience.
She's been having a tough time lately coming to terms that her biological dad doesn't have time for her but does for her 2 year old half sister.. I can't really say this is the absolute reason for her behaviour because she's behaved this way for her whole like but I know its contributing to it.

So I'm begging for some advice, I don't know how to handle her anymore.

Hi.
I wish i knew the answers, my 6yo is exactly the same. I can't cope with her anymore.
It's not just tantrums either, its down right defiance or awful attitude as well!
You mention about her so called 'dad', we have had the same since mine was born! Does she have a good relationship with her step dad? My daughter now refers to her step dad as her real dad and says its doesn't matter that he doesn't want to see her because she has a better, much nicer dad now.
Hope you manage to get to the bottom of everything soon x
