I know I'm over thinking this but my DS seems to be so behind compared to others the same age that I know IRL. Not only have most been saying words for months now but many are counting and now linking words into mini sentences.

Meanwhile we have maybe 2 words, he said a few more previously (although rarely more than once) but seems to have abandoned them all again now. So we have daddy and bus and that's about it.

However he babbles and screams constantly, points for things he wants, nods and shakes his head correctly and follows simple instructions so I know I don't need to worry.

But dammit I'm getting impatient for all this cute talking!

My DS1 didn't say anything until a month before he turned 3. Not a word. Just grunts. It really worried me but now he won't stop talking. Confused He is nearly 3 1/2 now.
My DS2 is 20 months and so far not a word. And he's not walking either. Just cruising. I'd love him to be talking (and walking!) but I'm not remotely worried. They all do it in their own time. I wish I hadn't invested so much time obsessing/googling/lying awake worrying.
