Terrible behaviour at weekend after week back in pre-school

Someone please tell me this is due to being tired and a bit overwhelmed.

DD has just turned 4. She's always been temperamental and highly strung but this weekend has been constant crying/wailing if I say no to anything, whinging constantly if we had to do something she didn't want to do, wanting to play but then really roaring at me when I'm not playing exactly how she wants, screaming and shouting to do something, 'no' when told to go to her room to calm down, not asking for things and then getting really upset (e.g. She was holding my hand in a busy car park, she decided she wanted to hold onto the buggy DH was pushing but she didn't say that, just tried to pull away from me so I ended up holding on tighter, we were very close to the car and it was only after I'd got her bundled into the car seat with her fighting me she told me what she wanted)

That was only part of it. It was like we recovered from one episode and another one started. It honestly seemed like she couldn't control herself at times.

Her baby sister is 8 months and she has been attention seeking and she's just back in pre school 5 mornings a week.

Does this sound normal??
