Hi everyone..
I have a 10month old nearly 11 months..
the short version:
4 weeks ago he started waking up at 3am/4am to be sick...
The long version:
Around 4 weeks ago he woke up to be sick through the night. What came up was what I could only describe as "chunky" food. He's always been a great eater. He will eat anything I give to him. No matter the texture. He doesn't gag on anything either. When it first happened I thought he had a bug but he was fine the next day. Then that night he was sick again... it happened 4 nights in a row and it was only "chunky" food coming up. No milk. And no cereal that he had had for supper which was after he had ate the "chunky" food. It was all food he has had before and been fine. I decided to take him off the bigger foods (even though he had been fine for months) and go back to mashed soft food on a spoon as an experiment.. since then he was fine. Wasn't sick through the night for 2 weeks then I gave him finger food again to test.. that night he woke up wrenching but wasn't sick until he got up at 8am.. then yesterday I gave him mince/sweet potato and carrots.. not exactly soft but not massive chunky food. Last night he was vomiting - violently until all the mince came back up followed by a bout of diarrhoea.. then he settled and slept the rest of the night. He's had breakfast at 7.45am today and not been sick or diarrhoea. I don't think this is a sickness bug as I would assume he would be like this all day too? I phoned the doctor who told me to phone health visitor who I'm now waiting on a call back. I know they will tell me to keep a food diary and that's probably about it and to "see how he goes"
Has anyone had any experience In this?? It seems really odd to me I don't think this is normal for a child?? I'm a total over thinker and my imagination runs away with me ..I'm worried he's swallowed something or I'm doing something wrong and this could all have been avoided or h if he has some condition that won't get picked up on.. I need opinions 😔
