21 Month old hardly no words

Hi,
My son is 2 in November so he's 21 months and has hardy no words at all except mainly dad, daddy, dada or ooohhhh he had Mammy daddy nana grandad truck all before my daughter came along 5 months ago worried that maybe something is wrong maybe speech delay but he does chat but all jibberish so thinking there might not be speech delay for that reason just he's not ready yet. Will be speaking to my PH Nurse about it but just any info or anyone else with the same issue would be great help. Thanks

My daughter is the same are and a month ago she was the same way barely any words just babbles now she's using full clear words and trying sentences
I dont think you have anything to worry about the babbles are him practicing and all of a sudden you'll notice the words coming clearer when hes confident enough
Just keep encouraging his chatting :)

Missbw thanks that's kind of reassuring he does chat loads but really jibberish so hoping that it's nothing.

Mine did that it all sounded like jibberish but with the addition of one letter it became a word
I'm sure hell be talking away soon :)
