Gaps appeared around wobbly tooth, is this normal?

I noticed this morning that my 5 year old DS's 2 middle bottom incisors suddenly had gaps around them ( he did have perfectly straight teeth what seems like only yesterday! ) On closer inspection I found they are wobbly, one more than the other. So I'm wondering if the gaps are the other teeth moving out of the way to make room for the new ones? I've had a quick google but nothing was mentioned about gaps appearing so just wondered if it was normal?

Normal in my (very limited!) experience - and it also seemed to happen overnight.

Yes, yesterday he had a perfect row of bottom teeth, today - gaps!

I think it's normal, it's amazing how much teeth can actually move! One of my daughters teeth was almost back to front when it first came through, by the time it was fully through it was pretty much straight. Once the one next to it was through fully it was perfectly straight x

Wow, the body is a clever thing isn't it?
