"my willy hurts!"

DS has just turned 5yo. every so often he'll grab his willy, usually when he first wakes up or around bedtime and say his willy hurts. I've always assumed it's an erection and have just said, Oh that happens sometimes, it will pass.

In recent weeks he's started saying it a bit more often. I've said the same thing and asked him if it feels a bit hard and he says yes, why is that. I said that sometimes blood will rush to his willy (not sure if this is the right approach to take!) and that happens to little boys and it's totally normal etc. Anyway, he's been saying it a couple of times a day now, and now he says "there's blood in my willy!" which is a bit more disconcerting...!

Today I noticed in his pants a very faint blood stain, as if a tiny bit of blood was in his urine.

He's totally fine other than this, no temp, no pain anywhere else and the pain in his willy doesn't last longer than a few seconds. He doesn't complain of any pain when he pees. I've just sneaked a peek at his willy while he's asleep and it looks totally normal, no redness or anything.

But now worried it's something a bit more sinister??

I'm going to take him to the GP in the morning but I wondered if anyone had had similar experience with their DS?

thanks all. Saw GP who said wee totally clear, willy looks healthy and said come back if it happens again. Noticed another pale stain in his pants today, so guess its back to the GP...
