My son is 19 months old and has a tendency to walk on his tip toes. Not always but he's definitely doing it on a half and half basis with normal walking. I wasn't too concerned until I Googled it out of curiosity and now I'm quite worried.
He also doesn't talk. He can say mum and that is all. He understands everything that is said to him and can follow instructions but no words. He also gets very frustrated and angry when we do picture books and has a tantrum if we ask him to try and say anything. It's like he has no interest in learning to talk and gets angry because he doesn't want to do it.
My partner (his dad) has dyspraxia and is hypermobile and we were wondering if this could have any link to any problems in children?
Do I need to be worried about this? My health visitor has told us to contact her if he isn't talking by Christmas but she didn't witness the tip toe walking and I didn't think to mention it to her.
Any opinions would be appreciated.
