Wondered if anyone had any insight... DD is 20 months, has been described as 'lively' and 'spirited' by nursery if this offers any additional insight.
She's going through a hitting spell ATM, but generally seems to be when she is intimidated and occasionally to DS (6 months) when she is angry/ trying to provoke a reaction (possible explanations not excuses- do not condone this obviously)
However, she will often just randomly try to hit my DH in the face. She never does this with me. Just wondered if anyone knew why this may be and how we should deal with it? He works long hours so she mainly sees him on weekend and otherwise they have a great time- reading, playing etc. The only thing I can think is that he does more active play so she may get over excited, but sometimes she does it as a form of greeting almost?
Also out of interest wondered how other people dealt with this as we've tried a few different things- ignoring, naughty step, offering reassurance but would really like to know if anything worked?
