1yo won't stop throwing food

No matter what it is he will take one bite of something and then throw it away - almost like a reflex action. If he's eating it on the floor he will then crawl after it and repeat. Eating out is impossible. Tried always eating in front of him at the table, just giving him his meals on a mat on the floor, always using plates/bowls even for a biscuit. At least when he's eating on a mat he chased after the food himself so I'm not having to pick up the same piece of toast 6 times per meal while he's in the high chair. Any advice on where to go from here?

Note: how much milk he's had that day and when the last bottle was doesn't seem to make a difference.

At this age I just put ds in a high chair next to the dining table then I ate at the table and just fed him one bite at a time as he was terrible for throwing! We gradually built up the amount of food in front of him as he got a bit older. They do grow out of it but I remember it being an intensely frustrating phase though.
