Thanks for reading. DD is almost five, going into year one after the holidays.
She's always been high needs baby / spirited / strong willed / highly active. And lovely of course!
For the past few months she has been clingy to me and increasingly so. When I'm around, she's constantly 'on' me, asking for cuddles and to be carried. When I sit down she's on my lap. She says 'mama' all the time, when other adults ask her a question she just says 'mama'.
How do I parent this effectively? I want to discourage the clingy behaviour but don't want to deny her the affection she clearly needs.
I have a 3 year old too and don't want him to lose out on attention as a result which is kind of happening..
Thanks
