17 month old talking?

I have a 17 month old and I read earlier that she should be able to say 15 words by now. But what counts as talking?

She doesn't say many actual words, mostly babbling, but when she does say a proper word it's in the right context, she can follow instructions and count the numbers 1, 2 & 5 with her fingers. So for example, she has said Grandma perfectly on two occasions to her Grandma but they are the only times she's said it. She spent a week saying her name perfectly, then never said it again. Is this normal to learn a word and then seemingly forget it?

I think it's quite common to have a favourite new word then move on. Remember that animal sounds (quack, moo etc)count if they use them purposefully, also things like 'nee nar' for fire engine. She's still very young and sounds like she's doing fine.
