I should think MNHQ are also spraying their keyboards with their lunch..

RachelG · 28/03/2007 13:28

I don't know - I was always taught to be polite to people, and only tease with words like "daft" when I knew them well. Sure, it's a fairly innocuous word, but it's the general tone that can be hurtful.

Perhaps I should just sculk off to my cuddley IVF website, and not try to compete in this tough world!!

Incidentally, Custardo herself got quite upset recently by someone who criticised her frequently. That person was reported too. So even the tough cookies aren't immune to upset all the time!

RubberDuck · 28/03/2007 13:29

MIIIIIIIIISSSS... CADBURY STUCK HER TONGUE OUT AT ME

LilRedWG · 28/03/2007 13:29

She's apologised now, so maybe we should let it go....

MarsLady · 28/03/2007 13:29

Rachel I think the key in what you said was the use of the word frequently and tbh I think that being stalked with malicious intent is just a fraction more upsetting than being called daft.

Nbg · 28/03/2007 13:29

you big silly poo poo heads

anorak · 28/03/2007 13:30

Well I think you're both complete and utter tossers being so mean and insulting to that poor girl.

Report me, go on, if you can't take it

Wallace · 28/03/2007 13:30

Anyway "your daft"?

houldn't it be you're

BTW it was the fkinhell I was mentioning, not the daft which certainly isn't a swear ord .

The poster was being a bit "daft" I think it must be one of those situations where yuo are too close to the problem and cannot really see the obvious IYSWIM

yes i too have feelings rachelg shock horror.

but carry on perpetuating whatever sandydut said on your IVF boards. without checking for yourself.

i have never said anything about IVF btw. i imagine its a painful long and horrible process to go through.

but by all means - get on the band wagon and slag me in particular for something i haven't done. then take the moral highground in thinking your a better person

doggiesayswoof · 28/03/2007 13:33

'you're a big man but you're out of shape'

lolol

not seen that film for ages

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 13:33

Daft, schmaft, but I am getting fed up of these "having a row on one thread, I'll start another referencing it so I can get my point across first" thread... can't we just stick to the first damned thread? It's all a bit schoolgirl, IMO

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 13:33

joash · 28/03/2007 13:35

Probably been said before, but this whole thread sems daft.

Our kitchen is open to the living room (not exactly open plan, but impossible to fit a door) and we had a 'thing' (technical term ) that shortened the gap and enabled an extendable gate to be fitted. It was made to match the bookcases that run up to the door and don't look odd or out of place.

I never changed a thing whn my own kids were small, but once GS came to live with us, I soon discovered how to make my own (one everyone elses) life easier.

I am now under the firm impression that some sort of concession has to be made when 'sprogs' start to join the family.

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 13:35

bolleaux

Twiglett · 28/03/2007 13:36

I have a song

Run rabbit run rabbit run run run
Don't give the farmer his fun, fun, fun
Bang, bang, bang, bang goes the farmer's gun
So run rabbit, run rabbit run run run

I lurve that bunny btw

think I should have put that on the other thread - told you I was daft!!!!

Wallace · 28/03/2007 13:38

oops that was, of course, supposed to be "wasn't"

"but by all means - get on the band wagon and slag me in particular for something i haven't done. then take the moral highground in thinking your a better person"

Custardo, I have never slagged you for something you haven't done, nor taken the moral highground.

I was simply trying to make the point that people find remarks hurtful, you included. I only mentioned your name, as you are the one who wrote the word "daft" that upset the original person so much. And I remember reading the posts in which Sandydut upset you.

I never doubted that you had feelings.

Twiglett · 28/03/2007 13:50

custy has feelings

don't be daft

OP posts:
Twiglett · 28/03/2007 13:50

sorry

OP posts:
Tortington · 28/03/2007 14:02

sandydut only posted on threads to malign me - she never posted on anything else during the month of march. That is very different from making a comment towards me and participating on other parts of the board. and its certainly different from just calling someone a name.

and so to compare my using the word daft in the same context is ermmm. daft.

Rachel you are a clever GP person and you have let me know you go on the IVF boards. and brought the subject up regarding sandydut - who came after me specifically for something i hadn't done.

so no, you haven't yet - and i hope you dont. i hope your are indeed clever enough to go and research the daft rantings of another poster before believing them becuase they went through IVF and you share experiences.

and yes i am custardo - in answer to the other thread you started specifically asking.

so excuse the SHIT out of me for jumping to conclusions when you show a particular interest in me recently and obviously know sandydut - who has been banned becuase of her behaviour.

all together doesn't even measure on the "don't call me daft" scale"
