Supporting young children's emotional development

Did you see last night's program about excluded 7 year olds? Can we as parents do more to prepare our children prior to school entry to reduce these events happening to children? I am currently researching this topic for a PhD study and would like to interview parents of children aged 12 to 36 months. Interviews are by telephone (I take the call) and last about 30 minutes. If you are interested contact me on my university email address [email protected].

Alternatively you can comment on:
a .how helpful you have found assessments by nursery staff or health visiting teams regarding your child's emotional development
b. what advice you have been given, have followed and has worked regarding children's temper tantrums and big displays of emotion
c. comments (supportive or non-supportive) you have experienced in community/ social settings/ family around your relationship with your child and their emotional development.
All comments most welcome and helpful!
