3 1/2 yr old still using bottle for milk

My DS1 is nearly 3 1/2 and still uses a bottle for milk before bed and the leftover milk from his breakfast out of a bottle. He drinks the milk quite quickly and doesnt kerp hd if bottle once its gone. I'm aware he is too old for bottle now but he won't take milk from a cup. I want him to still have his daily milk intake but cannot remove the bottle. It doesn't help as my DS2 is 17 months and he also still uses bottle. I'm considering whether to take them both off at same time 🙈or try another approach with DS1 for now? Any ideas ?

The bottle fairy is coming to your house and leaving new exciting cups for both of them!

This was me a few months ago. Bought 2 matching tommy tippy cups. Made a big deal of DS2 having a special milk cup. DS1 copied, really proud of himself.

Id been watering down his bottle milk, but came him full creamy milk in the cup so it must have tasted lovely.

There was a big toy bribe, and he got very sad the next day when he found out the bin men had taken his bottle- I let him have a good cry and a hug, and almost mourn the loss of his bottle. He was comforted with a cup of milk relatively quickly.

Using the little one to lead the way definitely helped.

Thanks for your replies and advice. I'm definitely investing in some new special milk cups .... for them both at the same time Shock. Fingers crossed. Im also looking forward to not having to keep sterilising 2 sets of bottles yippee !!Smile
