My DS is generally very well behaved and laid back but we've had a very difficult week he hasn't listened to a word I've said which has been frustrating to say the least. So I do the usual stuff, E are you listening... I'm not going to ask again .... 123..... then enforce whatever it is we are talking about. However when he has a tantrum he will hit throw or kick ( not people just objects) I know he does it for attention but it's an absolute no for me so he goes to cool down by the door. He will rage for however long, then when he realises I'm not going to budge he becomes sweetness and light. It's like a switch has flicked and he goes from fury to chatty smiley and cooperative even more so than normal. Is this usual toddler behaviour? I know the tantrums are but the extreme change in mood.

Yes normal, just one of the many quirks about toddler behaviour, he knows the rage isn't getting him attention, so he tries the nice behaviour, x
