(Wasn't sure which board to post this on, sorry if wrong one)
My 20 month old DS has recently discovered how to undo not only his pushchair buckle but also his carseat (Make - Graco) .....bugger!! Ok if both DH and I are in the car, one of us can jump into action and try and discipline but most of the time it's just my DH and son as he takes him to nursery. Obviously if DS undoes it on the way to nursery my DH will pull over and sort it but I can envision a 5min drive taking 30mins at that rate.
I've just seen that they make 'anti-escape' devices but they're not recommended for safety reasons (can't get child out as quickly in an emergency). What can I do? We can distract my DS while buckling him in but not for a whole car journey if DH is concentrating on the busy morning rush hour traffic.
I understand that he's not purposefully being 'naughty', it's a button and is intrigued to push it as he knows that's how he gets out but I'm shocked at the carseat's design at how easy it is for a 1.5 year old to open it! Is there anything to gain by calling Graco?...
