My lo is 19 months, I work part time and for a few hours one day a week lo is minded by his granny (my mil) and the other shifts my parents look after him. Unfortunately lo has taken a notion that he doesn't want to be at his granny's house or minded by her at all, I've tried visiting with me and his daddy there too to try and familiars him as much as possible but he's still screaming and fretting that I'm going to leave him there. I really don't know where this has come from, he's fine at my parents house.... I don't really want to upset anyone (ie mil by saying it's not working out) and am so grateful to her for offering to look after him while I'm at work but I can't continue to leave him upset.... anyone else been in a similar situation?

Can another family member do the drop off, temporarily?

maybe by you dropping him off at his granny's is making the situation worse? you could try getting someone else to drop him off and see if it makes a difference? Or try the other way round get granny to pick him up take him for a walk so he almost forgets you've gone anywhere and is distracted by the time he gets to her home.
Has he been around the certain surroundings a lot it can take a lot to get a little one wanting to be in a new environment. Goodluck x
