What is your 7 month old like with strangers?

Hi Smile
Since about 5.5 months my DD has absolutely hated strangers, to the point where if someone so much as stares at her (as people do with babies!) she bursts into tears and is just hysterical. She's now 7 months and it's just getting worse!

Is this normal at her age? Other babies at a similar age we see at groups are smiling at everyone etc, I think she's smiled at a stranger about once in her life! I feel like I have to apologise for how upset she gets when people smile at her Blush

Any advice or reassurance or anyone with an anti social Baby is welcome! Sad

My niece hated men when she was a baby. If any man other than her Dad so much as looked in her direction or walked in the room she would scream and scream! Not sure if it's a girl thing but don't remember any of my nephews going through this phase with strangers in general. At around 22 weeks they have the 'relationship leap' and maybe they just become hyper aware of anyone they don't know?!

She just hates anyone Grinher dad unfortunately isn't involved, but she loves her grandad more than me I think sometimes Envy

I really hope it is just a phase, poor ladies in M&S feel bad when they're trying to get a smile and she bursts into tears Confused

My own baby is okay with strangers so far, once he cried but they made him jump! He's 4.5 months. I'm sure it'll pass soon! Smile
