Not sure where to put this really.

DS is 8 months, I co-sleep, bf on demand/through the night and he will only sleep/nap in a sling. He wakes and I feed him back to sleep every two hours through the night. He doesn't like being held by anyone but me and sometimes DH.
DH has never put him to bed and never got him to nap or changed/washed a (reusable) nappy. I am more than happy with this
However I am now facing surgery under general anaesthetic in two weeks (only just found out) I should be home the same day but will be out of action (for picking up, carrying etc) for atleast a week/2 weeks after the operation on my stomach.

Anyone got any tips on how to help adjust my DS before the op?

So far I've started expressing in hope of getting him take a bottle & bought some disposable nappies & wipes for DH to use.

The most obvious thing would seem to be to get your dh used to changing those nappies etc etc at once, so that he can be relaxed and confident about it when the day comes. See it as a positive thing: nappy-changing and putting to bed are great bonding moments and it is good for a baby to bond with his father.

It will probably be easier for him to take a bottle from your dh anyway as he can't smell you.

And good luck with the op and hope you get better soon!

Thanks Cory . DH is really hands on with DD1 & DD2 but has just seemed easier up until now for me to do all baby bits...a mistake in hindsight!!

it's not too late to change, and it will be a nice thing for both of them

just make sure you look after yourself!
