13 months DD stopped enjoying groups, just a phase?

My 13 month old DD has been going to various groups from about 5 months old and was loving them joining in exploring etc but in the past few weeks she's gone even more clingy than normal, gets really upset and doesn't want to do her normal crawling around to explore. We had a similar reaction at a friend's house with her getting so upset we had to leave...as soon as she's back in her own environment she's calm again! I'm a bit confused as she is out and about with me or my partner most days trying new things etc and while she's always been on the sensitive side she's really nosy too so it's just strange for her.
She's on the cusp of walking, is teething, sleep has changed and currently has a cold so all that won't be helping but I'm wondering if it's a recognised age related developmental thing that will pass?

Sounds like maybe a peak of separation anxiety as her awareness increases. It will pass; she'll probably want more to be close to you more and need more reassurance until does though.

Thanks silver linings I've just been reading previous threads a bit there and that cropped up and did make me think...although it doesn't explain the meltdowns even being carried into a new environment, totally safe and cuddled etc but still losing it! If only we could read their minds Smile
