Ds (3yo)has for the past 2 nights been reluctant to go to bed. We've had stalling tactics before -drink, toilet, etc, but this seems to be different, almost as if he is afraid to go to sleep. We have never had a proble of going to bed before to this degree. He has then been waking up at 4-4.30 am unable to go back to sleep, and doesn't want to be left on own at all. He has ended up coming in our bed beacause it has carried on for an hour or more. He can't seem to verbalise what ever the problem - so we keep wondering if it was a dream, but would a dream affect him for more than 2 nights? Does anyone have any suggestions, experiences or advice.

My ds1 who is 2, wont sleep in his room at the mo. He will only sleep downstairs on the sofa. Has been for about a week and keeps waking up in thje night crying. My dh thinks he is having nightmares. I think it is becasue he has too many toys in his room, but who can tell. He is also very clingy with me at the mo.
They are funny little things, these kids.
