Hi, my brother and SIL had their first baby last week and when I asked if there was anything I could buy as a gift they said an activity mat. I don't have children so have no idea what to look for in a good activity mat. I've Googled a few, they seem bloody expensive! Also just when I find one with lots of good reviews there's always a couple of reviews that say their baby nearly choked on something which scares the crap out of me. Oooh the weight of responsibility I feel buying a damn play mat! Please help this clueless new auntie. Thank you.

I recommend this one (currently on sale in John Lewis). It has apart that lights up and makes noises plus several attachments and can be a ball pit when folded a different way. Though it's small when folded up so we've. It used it that way

Glad you like it and have ordered it!

Apologies as I've just realised how many typos etc my post had Blush. I tend to MN when multi-tasking!
