DD8 painted on carpet & bed base with nail varnish

Naturally I got cross & she just had a meltdown, crying & yelling that it was crayon ( which she of course couldn't find). Then she tried telling me she did it yesterday, all the time still denying it was nail varnish. I had already told her off for having the stuff in her room & the smell was overpowering. During the tantrum, she accused me of lying ( not sure where that came from). We have been having very challenging behaviour for quite some time now. Not sure what to do as she gets her tablet taken off her for a lot less. Can you just use nail varnish remover on carpet?

I wouldn't use mail varnish remover in the carpet as it is likely to mark it. Try some soapy water to start with?

In terms of punishment for doing it and her behaviour after I'm not sure as my child is much younger but she definitely needs consequences!

I can understand why u got cross, but she perhaps didn't know it was wrong? My kids painted the lounge door pink once! They genuinely thought I'd pleased! It would've felt harsh to tell them off for something they hadn't realised was wrong. Could u chat to her about why she did it, and why you'd rather she didn't?
