Hearing test at 9 months

Any other babies had a hearing test around this age? My daughter had one today but they want to retest her in two months as it was inconclusive and they said its very common at this age due to their interest in other things happening in the room.

The test involved her playing with toys and turning towards a sound. When she turned she was rewarded with a toy lighting up/moving/tv coming on briefly.

She needed directed a lot towards the toy/sound. She turned occasionally by herself but mostly acted oblivious to the sound.

They checked her hears and said the ear drum was red and inflamed but this may be due to teething and a cold and that there was some mucus.

They didn't give much away, just to come back in two months.

Wondering if any others could hear fine but struggled to pass the test at this age.

The reason for the test is concerns regarding her speech or lack of.
