For working mums out there, just wanted to share......

...yesterday was my son's first birthday. I couldn't take time off work due to several meetings but we did throw him a nice bday party on Sunday. Was still feeling a bit bad about not being with him and had a 430 pm meeting so didn't get home until about 630pm. Husband arrived at 645pm. Nanny said he had been v. happy and well behaved during the day. AND THEN, he stood up (has been doing this for a week) and TOOK HIS FIRST TWO STEPS!!! DH and I were SOO PLEASED and big sis (3 yrs old) kept jumping up and down saying "clever boy, clever boy!!" Nanny was so pleased he did for the first time in front of us!
I know all mums can relate to the joy of seeing your kids do things for the first time but put working mums in the title as i know like me, you always worry about the things you miss out on when you are at work (though i don't beat myself up for that too much) BUT SOO PLEASED I SAW THIS ONE! He even waited for the applause as he seem to think he did something very clever!!! !!!

That's sweet!!!! What a clever little boy. He obviously knew that you'd need some cheering up!
