Hi - my 4 month old DD keeps screeching and squealing really loud.

Sometimes its when she's crying for food and stops as soon as she gets milk. but recently she does it even if she's seemingly happy - just sits there and screeches - its quite painful on the ears!! What does this mean?

Thanks

My DS did this at 4 Months...it was PAINFUL but thankfully short lived. I think they're just experimenting with new sounds :-)

Thanks! Thats a relief :-)

I have a 4 month old who does EXACTLY this. Sounds like he's trying to have a poo.

Completely normal. He's worked out how to do something else with his mouth and vocal chords that's all

Yep, it's just when they discover they can vary their volume! It does pass.

My older one says DS is "doing his dinosaur noise again" when he starts Grin

Haha mine sounds like a dinosaur as well. Deafening!
