Why does my four year old do this?

He wants me, wants my attention, wants to be next to me etc. He sits next to me but sticks his head into the seat next to me pushing into me or headbutting me, or sits with his feet on me or kicking me. I'd be happy with a chat or a cuddle. Why does he do this? We've given warnings and sanctions and followed them through but it just keeps happening.

Maybe he enjoys the sensory feedback. Have a look at deep pressure sensory activities for alternative ideas so that he's not headbutting you...
