Hi, I'm new here so excuse the lack of short hand! 😝
I have a 2 week old son who, in the last couple of days has been constantly hungry. He is a good sleeper and very content most of the time, in fact only cries if he's hungry or needs burping. Today he's had 5oz of formula and was still whinging and unsettled he had another half oz and fell asleep for 15 minutes. Now he's awake again and doesn't seem to want/need anything obvious!

Is it normal for a baby this small to want to eat so much?
Any advice appreciated!

Yes! Totally normal. Baby will cluster feed and have growth spurts in the first few weeks, cluster feeding happens a lot in the evening which might be what you're seeing tonight. Have a look at the 'feed the world' and then infant feeding on talk/ there's lots of advice about this type of thing. A really helpful website is Kelly mom some great resources on there about baby feeding patterns etc.. really easy to read too

My daughter basically spent the first 2 months permanently attached to my boobs (we're taking about feeding every 45 min, sometimes more frequently). Some.of it was comfort sucking but most feeds were the real deal. I was a bit worried when I realised that it wasn't just a few days of cluster feeding, but she was growing like a weed and going up in percentiles, do I just went with the flow. Her feeds have now spaced out more (she's 11 weeks) but she still eats fairly frequently. She's just a hungry child and prefers to eat more often.
