Struggling with 2 year old

I am really struggling with my two year old.
He gets so angry and can be vile.
He hits, spits, bites and pinches me when he can't get his own way.
He slaps me round the face if I try and pick him up off the floor or carry him away.
He screams blue murder at anything.

To make matters worse my oh has zero patience with him and ends up making the situation worse or refuses to deal with him.

I don't know what to do or how to control him.

Help.

Is he talking? At this age it can be pure frustration :-(
If his language development isn't great you could try baby sign language?

Have you tried time out/the naughty step? Not something I wanted to use, I know many don't agree with it, but I did it out of sheer desperation and it helped set a boundary. Now just the threat of it can often stop my 2 year old in his tracks. If you're desperate it's worth a try. He might give you hell for a couple of days before things improve though. It's incredibly draining, good luck 💐
