My son is almost 3. His been in pants and dry day and night for about 5 weeks. He got wee's very easily. But poos in his pants every day. He doesn't even tell me, he did the first few weeks, even tried to get to the toilet but now he just doesn't seem to notice! Any tips would be great. Thanks

My dd did this for ages. The standard advice is to keep him regular so it's effortless for him, encourage him to sit on the loo at the time of day it generally happens, or get really good at noticing the warning signs and taking him, breaking wind, hiding or straining. Get him to stay on the loo for a while, they always try to get off too soon, use a screen or other distraction. Huge praise for a result, dancing the poo dance, calling Granny for celebration etc. No scolding for soiling, but make it a real hassle for him, he has to leave his playing, take off own clothes and put them in laundry and dress himself again after you've helped him get clean, he needs to realise it's more efficient to use the loo. People say the online book 'poo goes to poo land' is good too. It's so frustrating but it won't be foreverSmile

get him to sit on the toilet, 20 mins after a meal, for 5 mins (reading books etc), if poo great, can get straight off toilet, if not, then off toilet after 5 mins, and just carry on with day! Definitely after breakfast, and evening meal, after midday meal if possible.
