screaming!

Does anyone have any advice for me PLEASE!!!!
I'm starting to get very worn down by my 7 and a half month old screaming (really screaming with all her heart) whenever I leave the room and sometimes even if i turn my back on her....I'm hoping this is just a phase but am worried she is already being spoilt (she always has full attention and i have only been out without her for a few hours since she was born....

Any advice please would be great before i go crazy

it is a phase, both my DSs went through it at a similar age, especially DS2 who I was hardly without from the time he was born, he didn't even like his Dad!
I think it is because they are starting to realise cause and effect - I scream, Mummy comes back!

Apparently they all go thru this stage, my DS did, it will go, you just need to pick her up and be there... It does seem like it'll never stop - but i promise it will!

I think you just have to reassure her and perhaps give her some time playing by herself but while you are in the room instead of giving her all your attention?

I've tried the reassuring, talking to her whilst in and out the room, distraction, leaving her to scream for a while......all to no avail

Any ideas what else to try and also how long this could last for?!
Its been a few weeks already...........

sounds like you are doing all the right things, reassurance for her is obviously the most important thing. Other than that, I think with mine I just had to wait it out, separation anxiety is frustrating for you but they do grow out of it!
