9 month old constant whinging

As the subject says my 9 month old son constantly whinges, whines and cries. I can't make him happy and I can't get on with simple daily tasks i.e. Preparing meals, cleaning. He drains the life out of me some days to the point where I almost resent him. Is motherhood supposed to be this hard?! Will he grow out of this? Is it a phase? Or will he be a whinge bag from here to eternity?

I have a 2.5 year old and an almost 9 month old. The older one was very whingey as a baby and still is quite so now, but in a different way.

The baby is whingey too, but just seems less so as I'm comparing her to a fully talking toddler. But yes it is definitely a phase (at this age!), but unfortunately I don't think things resembling whinging and whining just go away.

It's probably separation at the moment.

If it's any consolation it doesn't seem nearly as bad 2nd time round Grin

Could be separation anxiety as it tends to hit around this age.
