dd1 - started off on 2nd centile, been hovering around the 9th for years - is now, at the age of 9 and three quarters, above the 50th!

dd2 (8) - always been around 50th centile, now above it too

ds (19m) - just hovering around the 9th - bless 'im - still in 12-18m clothes (and I'm still rolling up the sleeves and trouser legs)! But given the size of the dds now it gives me hope he will catch up in the end!

lol! All that worrying for nothing

Mind you I'm under the 9th centile so it would hardly be surprising if they turned out small

Sometimes you just don't realise how much they do grow IYKWIM

I looked at DS (3 last week) standing next to DD (8 in August) and was shocked that he was to her shoulder - he is always so tiny in my eyes, but he's not really

sophiewd · 12/03/2007 16:28

Had my DD measured just before her first birthday 2 months ago and oh the humiliation, at one she was exactly half my height

Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 16:39

Intrigued now! How tall is she/short are you?

sophiewd · 12/03/2007 17:31

I am 5 foot 2 she was 2 foot 7, DH a shade under 6ft my three brothers are all around 6 ft and my dad is 6 foot 3 At this rate she will be bending down to kiss me goodbye when she starts school

Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 18:30

awww

mymatemax · 12/03/2007 23:02

Hope you don't mind me joining in,
noticed recently DS2 is the tallest child in his playschool..... Shocked as he only weighed 2lb 11oz at birth & not much longer than DH hand & we are both average height & so is DS1??

MamazonAKAfatty · 12/03/2007 23:06

i dont have these problems.

DS is on the 97th for height and 99.6th for weight.

DD is on the 75th for height but i dont know for weight as we managed to spill coffee over that page at the last clinic

Strange old business isn't it ? My ds1 was a healthy 8lb 2oz at birth, but hovered around the 25th percentile through most of his early childhood; always in the bottom 1/3rd of the class for height. Now 13 and getting too big for Gapkids largest 13+ sizes. One season left at H&M too I reckon. . A lot of his clothes now are proper menswear..

Dd also one of the smallest until recently; now aged 8 she's one of the tallest in her class.
