12 wk old gone from loving his bath to screaming the house down - WHY????

Does anyone have any experience of this or any theories as to why?
My 12 wk old really loved having a bath especially after I started using a foam bath support.
However, his behaviour at bath time literally changed this week from one day to the next -he was fine on Wednesday but the following day just screamed from start to finish and has done ever since. I am doing nothing differently whatsoever. This has left me baffled and really upset, any ideas.....?

Maybe he's coming down with something or feels uncomfortable (wind, full-up, etc) or has been more tired than usual. He may have just changed his mind about it. (in which case, he'll change back just as suddenly).

You don't need to bath him everyday so if either of you needs a break from screaming bathtime, then do so. Assuming that water & room temperature are OK, I'd perhaps add a toy but otherwise continue as you normally do and hope it improves.

Try having a bath with him. This may helpto reassure him

My daughter did this, she was a bit older, ( ? 10 months..) had always loved the bath, and one day, for no obvious reason, absolutely howled the place down just at the sight of it. She kept it up for about a month, then just as suddenly she was fine with it again. You can keep your baby clean with warm flannel washes, just try the bath every now and again, but if they are really distressed by it, just leave it for a while. I think it's not that uncommon and quite a few kids do this, so don't panic!

I had this, ds2 was born in birthing pool, loved water till approx 8 months, screamed house down till about 1 yr, now screams when I take him out!! wouldnt worry tbh, just persevere!
