I have one little bit who is 3 years 5 months.
He is mostly a loving, happy not - loves giving cuddles/kisses. He he excellent speech, knows all his letter sounds, counts really well, enjoys jigsaws and imaginary play.
Overall, he's a bright little boy who he lots of friends and plays well with other children we are or alone.
He has attended the same nursery since he was 8 months old and had always been happy there - runs straight in with no issues.
For the last few months, nursery have been saying that he doesn't always listen/join in/do as asked and will often have tantrums of he can't do what he wants - these involve screaming/hitting/throwing toys. Obviously, it's not good that he does this and I don't like to think of him hitting staff/throwing stuff. At home, we have an odd tantrum but nothing like they describe and certainly not each day.
Whenever I arrive to collect him he seems happy/often joining in with story time or playing outside with his friends. He talks happily about who he plays with/what he has done.
I have been asked to go in and discuss his behaviour - I went once before but things had improved a lot.
I feel terrible because I don't know what to suggest and they are making me feel awful - like he's the only child to have ever had these issues.
I spoke to health visitor last time and she was lovely but thought it was no more than a toddler pushing boundaries/frustration.
I can't get a GP appointment as you wait weeks for them and things then change.
I just don't know what to do - does anyone have similar experience?
