Is it procedure for MASH team
to inform police over issue involving Year 5 boys?

Yes. Definitely. Hard to be more precise without more info but age of criminal responsibility is 10 and in any case information is shared between all agencies for safeguarding purposes so will be recorded by police even if no requirement for police involvement.
