DS2 is 9.5 months, so obviously classic age for separation anxiety. He has up to now been a very happy self-contained little soul- can amuse himself for ages without adult input, not prone to crying unless tired/teething. However in the past week or so he increasingly has spells where he just won't be put down. Just howls if you try and holds himself rigid/won't bend in the middle to sit down. It doesn't matter if I'm sat right next to him- still howls. He is the same at nursery with his key worker (all very new to him- only started a couple of weeks ago but he seems to like his key worker very much).
Does this sound like a form of separation anxiety? My memory of DS1 is of him objecting to me leaving the room, rather than just physically detaching myself from him!
